This website provides data from four weather stations installed during a mission from March 9th to 19th, 2025, as part of the **G-STIC CAP23 Senegal Green Desert** project. The setup was carried out by the **Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO)** in collaboration with **Entrepreneurs without Borders (Lignaverda)**. The loggers and sensors are manufactured by **Campbell Scientific**, and their data are sent in real-time to this data repository, available as `.dat` files. Links to these files can be found at the bottom of this page. Below, you will find detailed information about the file structure, the exact column labels, the meaning of the columns, and examples of the data for different frequencies (10-minute, hourly, and daily). Each file corresponds to a specific station and time period. The files are named based on the frequency of the records: - **10-minute frequency**: `_10min.dat` - **Hourly frequency**: `_Hour.dat` - **Daily frequency**: `_Day.dat` - **Public testing files**: `_Public.dat` (for testing purposes only) ### **File Format** - **File Type**: Text file (ASCII) - **Delimiter**: Comma (`,`) - **Header Rows**: 1. **Row 1**: General information about the logger and data file. 2. **Row 2**: Variable names for each column (see their explanation below). 3. **Row 3**: Variable units. 4. **Row 4**: Sample statistic for the given frequency (e.g., "Avg", "Tot", "Min", "Max"). - **Data Rows**: Each subsequent row represents a single measurement record. - **Missing Data**: Represented by `NaN`, `NA`, or `-9999`. ### **Sample Statistics** The fourth row in the header specifies the type of statistic calculated for each variable.
